RAIN DANCE
Released: April 2020
Rain Dance is Shane Hennessy's third studio release. Featuring eleven original compositions arranged for solo acoustic guitar, Rain Dance showcases Hennessy's flatpicking skills for the first time, as well as his unique fingerpicking techniques. IDIRCHEOL
Released: December 2020
Idircheol is Shane Hennessy's fourth solo release, recorded at home during the COVID-19 lockdown in Ireland. Featuring compositions and arrangements inspired by his upbringing in Irish traditional music, ‘Idircheol’ is a musical interlude which reflects on the changing pace and shape of our daily lives in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. MARRAKECH
Released: July 2017
This album retains the melodic nature of Zephyrus while building on more complex harmonic structures and forms, as well as incorporating world and ethnic influences and elements of classical music. ZEPHYRUS
Released: June 2015
Zephyrus, Shane's first release was recorded in March 2015, and released the following June. This album showcases eight original compositions in a variety of styles. It has received favourable reviews and feedback from fans worldwide. This CD includes fan favourites 'Avenue' and 'The Rebellion'.

SELECT Projects
Samhlú (TG4)
A special 2020 collaboration between Meangadh Fibín, TG4, and Creative Ireland, to showcase the Irish arts during the COVID-19 lockdown. Shane composed music for the show, as well as featuring in the commissioned Bill Whelan piece "Samhlú", and performing a rendition of "Marrakech".

2018 Première of the commissioned piece 'Educo', written by Bill Whelan for Shane Hennessy (guitar), Máire Carroll (piano), and Crash Ensemble (quartet) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Business To Arts.
